Ana Elisa Athayde
Screenwriter and producer
Ana Elisa Athayde is a screenwriter and producer from Rio de Janeiro, a filmmaker by training and a postgraduate student in Audiovisual Production and Business at ESPM. She entered the industry fourteen years ago as a directing intern, moved through different roles and arrived at Canal Brasil, where she stayed for more than ten years.
There she produced concerts, live events, programs and documentaries. She then switched sides of the table and began evaluating, selecting and negotiating projects, licensing deals, co-productions and original films and series, some of them recognized at Cannes, Venice, Berlin and the Grande Otelo Awards.
Along the way, she helped many stories find their way to the screen, without ever letting go of the urge to tell her own. In 2026, she founded Subtexto so that they could get there too.
